FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Being part of a film crew is an exciting and nerve-wracking experience. Our FAQ section should give you all the answers you need to plan your day, but please e-mail us if you have any other questions.
DO I NEED ANY FILMMAKING EXPERIENCE TO TAKE PART?
No. GGG has been developed specifically to give everyone a taste of what it’s like to work in a real film crew. The GGG staff will be there to explain, assist and encourage you in the creation of your own film, but you will have control over the finished product.
WHAT HAPPENS IF OUR FILM IS NOT FINISHED BEFORE THE END OF THE SESSION?
It will be! The GGG staff are there to ensure you work to real time deadlines and they will step in to help your group stay on schedule and deliver that film in time for its World Premiere.
WILL OUR GROUP HAVE EXCLUSIVE USE OF THE GGG STUDIOS?
No. GGG can assist in the creation of up to 8 films in each session slot, with a minimum number of 8 in each “film crew”. In order to accommodate bookers who have less than the minimum number of participants, GGG will match them up with other groups to make up a complete film crew.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN TAKE PART IN A GGG EXPERIENCE?
Each film would require a minimum of 8 people and up to a maximum of 12. For bookings of less than 8 people, GGG will match you together with other bookers to complete your team. If you have a large group, we simply divide you up into smaller teams , with each smaller team making their own film.
WHY ARE THERE ONLY SELECTED DATES AVAILABLE TO BOOK?
The GGG practitioners are industry professionals, working on a freelance basis for films and other projects throughout the year. We will try to fill an entire day so that we are able to book them for specific dates and ensure they are available to help you make your film. If there aren’t enough participants for your chosen date, we will contact you to offer an alternative date.
DO YOU TAKE DEPOSITS?
We would usually take full payment for bookings, unless classed as an “advanced booking” If you would like to book a date which is more than 6 months in advance, please contact us, as we may be able to arrange this date. If we can accommodate you, we will ask for a 50% deposit to secure your booking.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM LATE FOR MY SESSION?
We will require you to arrive 30 minutes before your session start time for registration and a Health and Safety briefing. It is your responsibility to arrive in plenty of time for your allotted time slot. Please notify us as soon as possible if you are running late so that we can make adjustments to the schedule if required. Regrettably, we may not be able to allow you to take part if we believe your late arrival will disrupt other bookers.
DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?
No. You should wear comfortable, loose clothing and sensible shoes. Light snacks and drinks will be provided, but you can bring any other snacks and drinks should you wish to. GGG will provide all the equipment, costumes, make-up and scripts. All we ask is that you bring an open-mind, enthusiasm and your creative ideas!
WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL?
All payments are final and cannot be refunded. In exceptional circumstances, we will do our best to accommodate your group on a future date if you are unable to attend one of our sessions. Please notify us as soon as possible if you need to cancel.
