Partner Spotlight: Three Questions for Helen Kenworthy, Founder/Joint CEO of Give-Get-Go Education



Helen Kenworthy is the founder and joint CEO of Give-Get-Go Education. The company offers students the chance to gain hands-on experience in film production and theatre. We caught up with Helen to learn more about her inspiration, the unique aspects of the program, and the impact she hopes to make on her students.

 

1. What inspired you to create Give-Get-Go Education?

Helen Kenworthy: “I’ve always been passionate about theatre and film, not just as art forms but as powerful educational tools. The concept of Give-Get-Go Education emerged from a desire to merge the expertise of the Royal Youth Theatre Company (RYTC) and Tony Klinger’s established film production knowledge. We wanted to offer young people the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both fields, learning the skills they need to succeed in the creative industries. Our programs are designed to be immersive, engaging, and relevant to the real world. It’s about empowering students to find their paths in these creative fields, whether they aspire to be filmmakers, actors, or behind-the-scenes professionals.”


2. How does Give-Get-Go Education differ from traditional educational programs?

Helen Kenworthy: “What sets Give-Get-Go apart is our focus on practical, hands-on learning. We believe that the best way to learn is by doing. Our courses are a mix of theory and practice, where students don’t just study filmmaking or theatre—they create their productions. They learn by making mistakes, solving problems, and collaborating. This real-world experience helps them develop both technical skills and crucial life skills like teamwork, communication, and resilience. It’s about learning through doing, and it’s why our students are so well-prepared for the creative industries.”


3. What kind of impact do you hope Give-Get-Go Education has on its students?

Helen Kenworthy: “Ultimately, we want our students to leave Give-Get-Go Education with technical skills, confidence, and a clear sense of purpose. We want them to understand the breadth of opportunities available in the creative industries and feel empowered to pursue their dreams. Whether they go on to study further or step straight into work, we aim for them to be adaptable, proactive, and ready to tackle whatever comes their way. We’re creating a supportive environment where young people can discover their talents, make connections, and grow into the professionals they aspire to be.”
