Helping Young People Take the Next Step Towards Their Future

Some young people are ready to jump into new opportunities. They can take a challenge, try something unfamiliar and find their way as they go.
But not every young person is ready to begin like that.
For some, the thought of training, joining a new project, meeting new people or thinking about the future can feel overwhelming. The first step can feel too big before they have even taken it.
That is why support matters.
At Give Get Go Education (GGGE), training is not just about teaching skills. It is about creating a clear, supportive and encouraging way for young people to begin building confidence in what they can do.
Sometimes the most helpful starting point is not, “Go on, do it.”
It is, “I’ll do it with you.”
That simple approach can make a young person feel less alone. It gives them space to start slowly, understand the steps and build confidence through experience. They do not have to arrive already feeling ready. They can become ready through the process.
This is where practical, creative training can make such a difference.
When young people take part in film, theatre, event planning, project management or other creative industry training, they are not only learning about a subject. They are learning how to think through ideas, communicate clearly, work with others, complete tasks and begin to see themselves as capable.
These are skills that matter far beyond one project.
They support learning, confidence, career development and future choices. They help young people understand that their ideas have value and that they can contribute in meaningful ways.
For some young people, a supported training experience can become proof.
Proof that they started.
Proof that they tried something new.
Proof that they could follow steps.
Proof that they could work with others.
Proof that their future can include more than they first imagined.
And when self-doubt appears later, that experience can help them remember: “I have done something new before. I can try again.”
This is part of Helen Kenworthy’s Creative Pathway Methodology and the wider Of Course You Can! approach. GGGE sits within the pathway as the training space that helps young people move towards future opportunities with more confidence, structure and belief.
It is not about forcing young people to have everything figured out.
It is about helping them take the next step.
At GGGE, young people are supported to learn, explore, practise and grow in a way that feels possible. With the right structure and encouragement, they can begin to move from uncertainty into action.
They can learn new skills.
They can build confidence.
They can work with others.
They can begin to see a future they can move towards.
And most importantly, they can begin to believe that the next step is not out of reach.
